There have been many revolutionary people throughout history. One revolutionary person that has change the world is Charles Lindbergh. Charles Lindbergh was a famous aviator in the United States. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 4, 1902 to his parents Evangeline and Charles Lindbergh. He did not always strive to be an aviator, but always on the search for exciting adventures. Charles Lindbergh’s influence over the aviation industry changed air travel forever.

One of Lindbergh's exciting adventures was joining an airmail service “Lindbergh toured the United States in the Spirit of St. Louis during the summer and fall of 1927. Traveling a total of 22,350 miles, he visited seventy-five cities and dropped towns where he couldn’t stop. In Carolina, Lindbergh visited Greensboro and Winston-Salem on October 14-15, 1927, and dropped messages over Salisbury and Lexington” (Bishop). Charles Lindbergh was a dedicated aviator and wanted to be involved in aviation anyway he could. The airmail service gave him a chance to do something he loved and able to contribute back to the community. Charles Lindbergh always seemed to strive for more throughout his career and this pushed him to keep going for his dreams “Lindbergh purchased his own biplane, a Jenny model, and flew solo for the first time. He became well known after this ground breaking flight in 1927. Charles Lindbergh entered into the Transatlantic Flying contest and he flew in his single engine monoplane. He made a non-stop flight in his plane called the Spirit of St. Louis, “After a 33 1/2 - hour flight from Long Island, New York, on May 20-21, 1927, Americans gained a new confidence in air travel. Suddenly, everyone wanted to fly. In 1929 more than 170,000 paying passengers boarded United States Airliners-nearly three times the 60,000 that had flown the previous year” (Bishop). He helped change aviation forever after his flight. Before his flight most people took boats and trains for travel, now that he made a safe flight it gave people more confidence in air travel. This flight opened up a whole new industry and a whole new way of transportation. After his famous flight, Lindbergh became very well known and was influencing all the people around him. His influence changed people's lives “Though not the first to fly across the ocean, Lindbergh was acclaimed as one of America's great heroes. Hundreds of thousands cheered his accomplishments in rousing receptions in London, Washington, New York, and St. Louis”(Cole). Lindbergh was seen as a hero that brought forth revolutionary ideas. He continued to contribute to America in numerous ways and his accomplishments had an influence
