With their need for natural resources, they believed that Asian countries should become one, and they thought that they would “together get better.” with Japans power hungry ideals they seized control of Areas of China which they remained in control from 1937 until their defeat in world war 2. As wars were being fought over land in the Asian countries, Japan was running out of materials. They knew they needed to take control of more land so they were able to hold strong against their enemies. Their issue was that once America got involved Japan would be destroyed.
The nation’s mobilization of resources during World War II would create an end for the era of the great depression. America entered the war after the Japanese had bombed a naval base in Hawaii called Pearl Harbor. During August 6, 1945, American planes had dropped atomic bombs that went over the city of Hiroshima, Japan. As of today, Hiroshima is currently has populated but radiation levels are still there. By using the atomic bomb, the atomic age began showing how the technology in America has evolved.
The Americans continued to fight the Japanese by firebombing the mainland, however this was not enough, Japan kept fighting. To end the biggest war in history the Americans dropped the new atomic bombs on Japan. By dropping the bombs the Americans officially ended WW II. Further, dropping the bombs prevented even more causalities American and Japanese alike.
In an attempt to get Japan to surrender to the Allies, in August 1945, the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the nation. The first bomb was dropped on Hiroshima and the second on Nagasaki. Although these bombs did contribute to Japan’s surrender and the end of the war, the use of this atomic weapon was an irrational and horrible decision. The United States should have abstained from using the two atomic bombs on Japan for the sake of civilian lives and possible alternatives to their decision. These bombs not only had detrimental effects on Japan, they also led to an arms race amongst several nations.
At this point in the war America had already suffered losses of more than 418,000 lives, both military and civilian. As Japan refused to surrender new methods were developed to try and end the war once and for all. Wanting to save American lives, Truman decided to use an atomic bomb on Japan which led to it being dropped on Hiroshima and a few days later Nagasaki, ultimately moving the emperor of Japan to surrender.

To end this once and for all, the U.S. decides to target the City of Hiroshima as it was the headquarters of the Japanese Second Army and the epicenter of Japanese communications and Nagasaki was chosen as it was the epicenter for producing war materials and contained Japan’s largest seaport.
America had their hands on a weapon that was capable of bringing the World War ll to a sudden stop, with the atomic bomb they stopped Japan from fighting a war no other countries wanted to fight. America had the right to use the atomic bomb on Japan because the strong military had an opportunity to surrender, Japan wanted to keep fighting, and America wanted to keep their people safe. On December 7th, 1941, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, killing a total of 2,403 people. Japan was a confident force that needed to be stopped. Six days after the Nagasaki bombing, Japan surrendered, causing the war to come to a halt.

A decision was to be made about using the atomic bomb or invading Japan. By dropping the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the United States prevented the loss of many American and Japanese lives, and showed the rest of the world the true power of America. After the surrender of Germany, the Allied Powers celebrated their victory, although there was another battle to fight in the Pacific.

Some believe that the United States was correct in dropping these bombs on Japan because of the attack on Pearl Harbor while others believe that it was very wrong to dropped the bomb.
