Q.1: In the novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, what are major events that made Jim Hawkins change? Use evidence from the text to support your answer.
As events unfold throughout the novel Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, Jim’s character changes dramatically. This is shown by him representing increasing cleverness, courage, maturity, and perspective. In the first few chapters, Jim is an easily frightened and shy boy who is closely associated with his home and family. To begin, Jim Hawkins works at Admiral Benbow Inn (Stevenson 15-18). “It’s my thing to work here” (18). This shot represents Jim in the middle because this shot is a super complicated trick-shot representing how Jim went through a lot of ups and downs. Additionally, he didn’t really have a known mentality. He was an ordeal character in the middle of this novel because he went through a lot of memories on his adventure changing him from a kid to a teen
