After reading this book, I felt so sad because the ship sunk in a great storm, which took all peoples lives of the Ghalas-at village in spite of a small village. That means that Kanrana have never met those people since then. Moreover, it was amazing that this story was based on the real story of the Lost Woman of San Nicolas. Karana have been alone in the island for 22 years. If I were Karana, I could not endure to live alone except animal friends. Fortunately, she made some friends such as Tutok, Rontu, and Rontu-Aru, and I imagined that they helped Karana’s mental part as company even though they could not speak like human. I have learned so many things from this book since January because Karana showed the methods to survive in the island. She tended to well preparing the planes before she deals with something. As a result, she have been brave to survive in an uninhabited island for 22 years. I was wandered if I survive in the U.S. College like Karana. I appreciated that I have a chance to read such a great book as an assignment
