In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there were many characters to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. However, the character that was most to blame is Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet (also known as Capulet) is the father of Juliet and the family rival of Romeo (Montague family). One reason Capulet is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is that he will not let go of his grudge against the Montague family. As a consequence of this, this causes stress to the relationship between Romeo and Juliet.

Romeo and his friend Benvolio ran into Peter a servant from the Capulets that had the list of names of the people who were going to attend the mask party and Romeo helped Peter read the list and he decided he wanted to attend the party.
Capulet also tells Juliet if she does not marry Paris to never look him in the face again and that she will be disowned. This might have made Juliet very pressured and sad, her own father telling her that she will be disowned from the family made her feel like she had to marry Paris but the love she had for Romeo would not let her. I think they would have not committed suicide because Juliet could have simply told her father that she is in love with Romeo. But since they do have family feud if she told her father that he would have probably killed her. On the other hand when Romeo told his father about him marring Juliet his father wanted them to get married.
The most defiant choice that Romeo and Juliet take for their love is their choice to be married. Juliet knows that her father or anyone in her family would not approve of this choice, but she still does it cause she loves Romeo. This love struck mentality drives Romeo and Juliet to be married and this secret marriage causes turmoil when Lord Capulet demands Juliet to marry Paris. Although Juliet knows that she is already married to Romeo loyal to him, not Paris and refuses to marry “doth Paris” (Shakespeare. III.v.145).
