353 Words2 Pages
In William Shakespeares play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet Lord Capulet’s actions had a big impact on a lot of the main characters. Lord Capulet, the head of the house, made choices that had a significant impact on those around him. Specifically, his actions affected his daughter Juliet, his nephew Tybalt, and the Nurse. First, Juliet was greatly impacted by Lord Capulet wanting her to marry Paris. Lord Capulet insisted that Juliet marry into a powerful and rich family even though Juliet wanted to marry Romeo. This puts Juliet in a tough situation where she has to choose between her family and Romeo. This led to bad results as Juliet took extreme measures to escape getting married to Paris and stay with Romeo, including taking her own life.
