Armstrong’s influence of musical jazz and error Louis Armstrong’s inspiration and music are still passed down to generations that love his performances and musical artwork. Even if Armstrong was criticized for his music and skin color, he still inspired many people with his musical techniques. Barbershop jazz musicians would use Armstrong’s elements of jazz solo exercise that have been “prevailing analytics methods for fifty years” (Komara). Armstrong would stand up and produce a professional smile toward others and Armstrong changed his ways to entertain the audience. Though Louis played his music and gave amazing performances, Armstrong played his instrument to entertain his audience, not for personal credit. Despite multiple races criticizing Louis Armstrong and his jazz performances, Armstrong inspired generations across racial barriers through his love of jazz and musical techniques. Not only did white Americans criticize Louis Armstrong for his color, but African Americans also criticized Armstrong’s performance. Louis told stories about his life to others playing the instrument after his story would bring his audience to tears. The way his inspiration got to many people's hearts was Louis never credited his performance but wanted to show entertainment to the people who loved his music to give his performance for fun. Louis failed to give his professional performance and smile, even though he had many people hate his music. Armstrong managed to give out his performance and his music to others instead of wanting his audience to give him the criticized hatred for what they hated about him.
