Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader for an American Civil Rights Movement during the 1950’s and the 1960’s. He got more achieved in 13 years leading the movement, then in the past 350 years. Dr. King drew his inspiration from his faith in Christianity and teachings of Ghandi. Dr. King led a nonviolent organization to achieve the right for African-Americans to and for equalization for them in the United States of America. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. His real name is Michael King, but his father changed both of theirs when they visited Germany and changed it because of the German Reformer Martin Luther. King Jr. was born the middle child he has an older sister, Willie Christine King, and a little
