Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and a social activist who played a astounishing role in the civil rights movement in the 1950’s until his assassination in April 4th 1968. King fought for equality for African Americans through peaceful protest and outstanding speeches. In the life of a African American King wanted to make a change throughout the world his courage made it possible for ending legal segregation in the south and other parts of the United states.
