Martin Luther King Jr. was a socialist activist. He was a baptist minister who played a key role in the American Civil Rights movement from the 50’s all the ways to his death. His role was the most important only because all that he wanted was equality in the people of the United States. He did all of his protesting in the way of a peaceful protests. He was the person that made the biggest impact in the movement. King had been living in Montgomery for a short while when the city became very segregated. When it had happened it was a big influence from Ghandi which fueled him to start the peaceful protesting. The “Peaceful Protests” the King participated and held was put to the test during the Birmingham Campaign. It was a protest about segregation
