Two of the most impactful people in the Civil Rights Movement were MLK and Malcolm X. The Civil Rights Movement was a protest for equal rights. There were many people who affected the movement, but MLK and Malcolm X were the most popular. The question everyone is, asking is ‘who has the better philosophy’? A philosophy is the fundamental nature of knowledge or what they believe in.
Martin Luther King, Jr., the man who led the civil right movement and impacted in major changes in the world by his speeches. Martin obviously impacted the civil rights movement because he was the one who lead that movement, martin fought for african american rights peacefully, he called a boycott on buses to end segregation and it did. His strong belief in nonviolent protest helped set the tone of the movement. Martin luther king, Jr. impacted the civil rights movement by fighting, protesting, and stating defense for african american rights in his speeches. MLK, jr. fought against jim crow laws also and got arrested.
While there are other influencers during the Civil Rights movement such as, Homer Plessy, WEB DuBois, Ida B. Wells, they lacked the realistic thinking that would fully influence a generation to look at African Americans civil rights in a different light. While there was one who would not only understand the reality of white versus black authority, but would use this knowledge to create programs. This man is Booker T. Washington, the greatest impact upon the early Civil Rights movement. One reason is because of his environment growing up he understands the reality of black issues which helped him fully impact the civil rights movement.

One of the first accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was his founding and presidency of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). The SCLC is a civil rights group that focused on desegregating the south. The group's first focus was on desegregating the bus system, but they eventually moved on to greater things such as registering blacks to vote and organizing peaceful protests. This proves that King was a successful civil rights leader, even though he struggled against racists whites in power that would try to oppress him and his group.

From these speeches he was considered to be a man who wanted greatly for African American freedom, but some people didn’t think he did.

Not only did Martin Luther King Jr. want equality for all people of color, he also wanted his kids to live in a society that was civilized with peace between blacks and whites. Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, and passed on April 4, 1968. His father was a pastor at a catholic church and was the co-pastor. Martin went to school in Georgia and he graduated from school at the age of fifteen. He attended Morehouse College, which is a distinguished Negro in Atlanta from which both his father and grandfather had graduated. After three years of theological study at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, he was awarded the B.D. in 1951.
