Qin Shi Huangdi was most powerful man at that time. He controlled most of northern side of China. Qin dynasty controlled the China almost about 15years. He started the Great Wall project. The Great Wall of China is long wall across eastern side of China. The Great Wall of China is longest human-made structure. They had difficult time to build this wall, because it was on the mountain and they had to carry materials every day. They used dirt, stone, or brick to build the Great Wall. Average Height of the wall is 15~30 feet, also there is tower rising above the average height. After the Great Wall project, Chinese used this tower as watch tower and signal tower. In about 221BC, Shihuangdi was first emperor to connect smaller wall to ling and protective wall. There were many smaller walls around it. Chinese citizens built this wall to protect their home from others. Place where he wanted to build was on the mountain. Also it was too high for them to transport materials to build the Great Wall. Many soldiers and workers died while building that wall. Qin buried dead workers and soldiers inside of the Great Wall, and other got shocking and start quitting build the Great Wall. After construction of the Great Wall, Chinese used the wall as defensive system. At that time Chinese and Mongolians hated each others.
