The best times of the world are not just in the Mayan empire. Many other empires have big innovations too. The Roman empire shows this in, the many great wonders they have built. The Colosseum, the Parthenon, and aqueducts are many of the great things the Romans built. In the Colosseum the Romans held many public activities. The Parthenon one of the biggest temples in the world right now. Right now the Romans are in the process of building water aqueducts to supply public city facilities, private households, and many other small things.

It brought water from the mountains to cities and towns to supply public works and private property also. For example they supplied public baths, local farms, and in many mining sites throughout Rome. The Romans had lots of water in their cities but the water was not that healthy but even all that water could not keep up with the demand from the population. The emperor said even though it was an expensive investment it was worth it to everyone in the empire. The aqueducts brought about 75,000 cubic meters of water to a public fountain in Rome’s cattle market. But in Old Anio the aqueduct brought nearly twice the amount of water into a higher elevation. The aqueducts were fed from a spring about sixteen kilometers from Rome. Over that distance the water fell only ten meters. Later though after they build that the city grew out of the supplies and needed more. In some places the aqueduct had to be cut away from rock. There were also cases of illegal tapping of the water. Overall the aqueducts supplied 300 million gallons a day to Rome. Recently the water supply has been going down due to crystals slowing down the flow of the water.
