America is defined as the land of the free and the home of the brave, but what it took for America to get here is an incredible story. Mostly the American culture is going downhill never known of one thing, that every Americans does that is all one-hundred percent the same. We have changed so much, mostly for the better. For the world it is a better place and for the people that live within the United States it’s a good thing. America people think of freedom as what they believe they have in their day to day activities, yet compared to some places in the world they are right we are free. Think about the Indians and how we kicked them off the land they originated from, or African Americans that we tormented for years on American soil, or Women's right and the unrecognized potential that they have, even the soldiers who died or are mentally unstable from the horrible battles that they witnessed.

Other had no opinion in the topic, mainly those people lived out west and just didn’t want in the middle of the discussion at all. The 13th Amendment stops the slavery in the USA other countries followed slowly after, but not all countries. Thanks to one of our greatest founding father President Abraham Lincoln issued his Emancipation Proclamation in Jan. 1, 1863 that really kind of only slowed the process down it never really stopped until Dec. 6, 1865 being the day the 13th Amendment was created.
