The Bubonic Plague struck Italy and changed the people, their views on life and its purpose. Originating from the east, this disease was a killing machine for at that time medicine had not advanced to the stage that it has today. Almost a third of Europe’s population fell victim to the Plague.
The Bubonic plague led to the death of many people, their family, after turning to god and religion for a while realised that prayer alone was of no help. The people realised that it was time they began searching their world for explanations other than the spiritual for human loss and suffering.
