The U.S. desire was to stop the spread of communism in the Vietnam War that caused many deficits in social, political, and economic statuses in the United States for nearly two decades. The Domino Theory was based on a chain of reaction causing communist to take over their neighboring states.(Domino Theory) Americans failed to go through with a domino impact to spread throughout Southeast Asia. This attack started was a quitely large act where North Vietnamese Army conducted a coordinated attack on major cities in the South.(Tet Offensive) The Americans and the Vietnamese were getting recorded while acting wildly in the guerilla style of war.(Tet Offensive) This act started one early morning January 30, 1968 Viet Cong attacking 13 cities after this incident, there was over 120 attacks on cities or any buildings they could put their hands on.
