In the short years leading to World War one, the country was deeply in debt which in turn was devastating to the Canadian economy. There was a wide spread drought causing great hardship onto Canadian wheat production and farmers, with such low production the expanding railway system of the time could no longer find it feasible to run much of Canada’s large railway network, causing the job loss of 50,000 workers in 1914 alone. When Canada was forced to contribute to the war in the coming months of 1914 the Canadian government had crushing public debt, resulting not only in mass munitions and equipment shortages for the soldiers being sent overseas but, contract cancellations, severe cutbacks, and mass layoffs. The
World War 1 changed the United States by giving workers higher pay, and the industries that had been making the war supplies instead of the government getting the money they got to have it. Also new technology changed the United States after World War 1. The pay wage increased incredibly a lot especially after the 1920’s. The men and the women had plenty of money to enjoy life and do whatever they wanted unlike before World War 1.
Canada as a country has changed a lot throughout the years. One of the biggest causes of these changes is WWI. The war caused the Conscription Crisis which had a lot of consequences, Canada's identity was changed forever because of WWI and The Roaring Twenties” did not represent the First Nations, Métis and Inuit experiences after the war. The Canadian Conscription Crisis during WWI had a lot of consequences for the country although Canada didn't have much of a choice.
World War One was a huge event in World History, and it is widely considered as a terrible thing although it may not be as bad as you may think. As time continues, society evolves. This centuries evolution could be inspired by and correlated alongside World War One. Seeing what Canada is today, it may not have been possible without the First World War. The First World War had the most significant impact on the Canadian nation, changing it for decades to come.
Battle outcome like the second battle of the Marne, the Ludendorff offensive and others proved America powerful. The battle outcomes for the battles of the Marne, Ludendorff, and Passchendaele were good for the Allies. The Allies won the war faster because America joined in their war against Germany. On July 15th Germany sent their last offensive on the western front but were beaten by the Allies. All accounted for, the battle outcomes after America joined the war were changed for the better.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, many long-term and short-term causes led to World War I, which engrossed the entire globe. Based on the historical evidence presented, one can conclude that the following were all causes of World War I: militarism, alliances, territory issues, nationalism, tensions between Serbia and Austria-Hungary, and the view that war was simply unavoidable. During this time period, many countries were becoming more aggressive militarily by strengthening their militaries. The chart shows that Great Britain, France, and Germany had the highest per capita expenditures on armaments, but all nations had nonetheless increased expenditures (doc 10).
The progressive reform that had the greatest impact on American society was the 18th Amendment which made the producing, transporting, or selling of alcohol prohibited. It all began when the Anti-Saloon party gained an advantage during World War I. Women who began these reforms gained support because of their influence on the workforce. If the women had not helped by working men’s jobs during the war, it would not have been as easy. Another aspect of the war that contributed to the amendment's publication was the limited resources available. Since alcohol was made of food sources, many saw it as a waste of food supply that could have been used for “our boys at war”.

In my opinion, the outcome of World War I harmed the domestic policies and systems of the United States. From the result of the war, there were changes dealing with politics, economics, and public opinions in the United States. Relating to politics, Wilson 's goal of the United States becoming part of the League of Nations was an overall negative effect on Wilson 's reputation. The constant nagging of Wilson to get the United States to join hurt his reputation by the people and the government. Although the United States did not join, the League of Nations was created but did not live up to the country 's expectations.
Compare and contrast strategy (incl. technology/air power/naval power/land power) between WW1 and WW2. The use of air power as a strategy of war was highly contingent on the development of technology and became more and more significant to wars as technology developed. When compared to World War I, the second world war saw an improvement of technological capacities, leading to an enhanced production of aerial power along with the emergence of new tactics and strategies of war.
One of the earliest causes of the Allied Powers victory was the failure of the German Schlieffen Plan. Its aim was to occupy the France, coming through the Belgium, and then, when these would be under their control, it would create one big front to fight with Russia. Unfortunately, everything went wrong, Belgium soldiers were extremely brave, what delayed the German advance. Germany did not manage to break through to France as quickly as it intented to. Due to the "Treaty of London", which guaranteed the independence of Belgium, Britain declared war on Germany.
The Unpreventable Great War World War I was one of the most devastating and destructive events that occurred during history. It was inevitable to happen due to three main factors including, militarism, nationalism, and alliances between certain countries. However, there are other people who believe that World War I was not inevitable and could have been prevented through certain measures. This source describes that World War I could have been prevented if there were more stable and successful negotiations between countries. However, due to the lack of peaceful negotiations between certain countries, many conflicts arose because of desires to expand military and navels.
If I had gone back in time to change a historic event it would be changing the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. As many well know this assassination was significant because it was one of the sparks to the first world war. Without world war one would there be a second one to leave the U.S in terror and a horrid economy? I believe stopping the assassination of the archduke would have brought the war to a whole new level leaving most countries out of the war meaning it would not be an international war lead by dictators and leaders. On Sunday, 28 June 1914, at approximately 10:45 am, Franz Ferdinand and his wife were killed in Sarajevo, the capital of the Austro-Hungarian province of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by Gavrilo Princip, 19 at the time, a member of Young Bosnia and one of a group of assassins organized and armed by the Black Hand.
