Do you like getting kicked out after working hard and establishing a great community.On May 28, 1830 Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act. This act states that all the indians will have to move from their land that they had first into unknown land that is supposedly a huge hunk of the Louisiana just for them with fertile soil and a water source. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 was terrible and unjustified; indians had already build up an amazing society, they were there first, and the americans have already messed with the indians.
For starters, the Indians have built up a respectable town. In the article titled “Allow the Cherokee to stay” written by Joan Marshal it states, “They created a real nation with its own written language, printing press and newspaper. They have a productive agricultural economy, with an iron working industry. why would America claim it's theirs if they’ve probably never even seen the land. According to an article written by PBS I titled “Indian Removal” it states, “In 1823 the Supreme Court handed down a decision which stated that Indians could occupy lands within the United States, but could not hold title to those lands. This was because their “right of occupancy” It's ridiculous that America wants to move something or more importantly someone that has been there for hundreds of years. If you don't understand what I mean, Think about it this way, would you want to be moved from your house after living there for live thirty years. It’s just not fair for someone to command someone else to move just because they need more land. Although, some people might say that America offered them good land, but that land was far away and the land they have right now is built
