The Industrial Revolution affected many things in Europe from 1750-1900 in Great Britain and in Russia. There were some things that changed, such as the transformation of British society, the Russian revolution, and the social unrest in Britain. There were also many things that remained constant, such as Great Britain’s trading, Russia’s working conditions, and the scientific revolution ideas in Britain. To fully understand the changes that took place after the Industrial Revolution, one must see how Britain and Russia were before industrialization. Britain was agriculture-oriented and did not have many railways until after the revolution swept through. Great Britain had always traded with outside countries and even though exporting rates increased, trading had always been a big part of Britain’s economy. The “culture of innovation” spirit also retained its importance and the ideals of the past Scientific Revolution stood out in the era of industry. People were establishing new companies and inventing new products. Nationalism was heightened and people stayed at their jobs for the love of their country. In Russia, the poor treatment and segregation of the working class remained the same before and after the Industrial Revolution, not changing even a little bit until after the Russian Revolution. Even then, Russia’s economy was not very stable and the peasantry was worked with great vigor at all times throughout Russian history. The lower class remained dissatisfied and socialism did not root. Overall, the changes and constants of society in Europe are seen very clearly through the strong dissatisfaction of each country’s common people. The transformation of society and societal unrest and the rapid industrialization that led to intense social revolution all exemplified the ways in which industrialization affected Britain and
