The Industrial Revolutions impact on Britain’s society
Progress in technology and the economy led to big changes in society during the industrialization. The industrial revolution started in Britain at the end of the 17th century, and caused increasing population, wealth and power. How were the working conditions for, people and children? How was the living conditions for the less wealthy? What caused the urbanization? How did the industrial revolution affect the public health and life expectancy? What was the emerging middle class, working class families and the role of women?
The working class in the industrial revolution was the majority of society in Britain. People left the farms and started their new life in the city at the beginning of the industrialization. A large number of people became unemployment and desperate for a job, this made them unable to demand higher payment and agree to their working conditions. The factory owners set the terms of work and gave low wages and long working hours with dangerous working conditions.
Child labor was the cheapest kind of labor during the industrial revolution. They could get into small spaces that the adults could not, and operate the simpler working machines. In the …show more content…

Hard and dangerous working conditions, the poor had to live in horrible poorhouses, filthy neighborhoods littered with garbage and filth from the sewer, causing the public health to worsen during the urbanization. Because of this spreading of disease by overcrowding, caused many people to die.
