The Kinder Transport was the Beginning of a highly respected new way of foster care for Jewish kids to get to new Jewish families. However, it was also the end of the foster kids lives as well once Hitler came into power that is (The Gale Group). The Kinder Transport was the Beginning of a fresh way of Foster care but it was involved in a monstrous disaster and ended numerous lives of innocent children, so technically it just happened to be the beginning of the end.
When the Kinder Transport was first constructed by the British. The British’s plan was to send foster care kids to their new home with the help of planes, buses, trains, etc. to where they needed to go weather it was school or a new foster home. Half of the people got captured. During the Holocaust the Trains were the only mode of transportation that has been claimed to take kids to these concentration camps that Hitler had created to gas, poison, or experiment on people (The Gale Group).
When the holocaust was beginning to come to an end the Kinder transport train was never used after The Holocaust was over. Since it was a foster care program the children who survived were reunited after the war with the parents who were in hiding. (Trust)The kids who were freed and had their parents captured and put to death were rentered into regular foster care. Great Britain decided they would not start back up the train or any other transportation methods they had used because they did not want to be reminded of all those poor innocent lives they have lost through this train that started as a Great thing but ended up as bloody deaths for so many people.
