Pearl Harbor was an attack on December 7th 1941 on Japan. Japans reasoning for bombing there was the oil embargo placed on japan by the United States. The embargo act was created to stop sending supplies to japan because Japan was at war with china and was using the United States imported goods and oil to create weapons and United States was natural at that time in the war. The embargo act forced Japan to invade china to obtain needed resources. The United States was contacted by Konoe the prime minister of Japan but President Roosevelt refused to have a meeting over the Act until Japan left Chinese Territory. This led to the bombing of Pearl Harbor and forced Franklin D Roosevelt to go to war with japan. FDR wanted to keep peace with Japan
