The Super Bowl is the biggest sports event in this country. This year the Super Bowl was played in Minneapolis Minnesota. During this time, thousands flocked to Minneapolis, causing a huge impact in the local economy. Due to the popularity of football, the Super Bowl causes a great influx of demand in the cities where it is played. This demand could be seen in the price of hotel stays in Minneapolis. Hotels in and around the city raised their prices to more than half of the original price. Even so, many hotels filled all their vacancies. Minneapolis also had a drastic increase in the price of airfare and many other things. One can easily agree that there was a huge impact on Minneapolis’ economy. Hotel stays and airfare are hardly the
