France, during the Revolution was quite a precarious place. The Revolution started in 1789 and its conclusion occurred around 1799. Therefore, the citizens that were involved in the French Revolution were among the First Estate, Second Estate, and the Third Estate. The First Estate was full of clergymen and their families, while the Second Estate was made up of noblemen. Furthermore, the Third Estate was made up of two groups, known as the serfs and the Bourgeoisie. A group that did not want to be in the Third Estate was the Bourgeoisie, but they were bound by birth. However, the Third Estate could be as wealthy as many of the members within the Second Estate. King Louis XVI at this time did not care for his citizens until it started to affect him. The citizens of France thought that they could overthrow the government easily and do it quickly when it was not as easy as the citizens thought it was going to be . Also the citizens of France thought that all their problems were coming from the First Estate,but also some of their were coming from themselves. The people of France saw the Americans overthrow the British when they were not getting treated right, so they thought they could do it too.
