Throughout history from Ancient times to Medieval times to the Age of Enlightenment many philosophers invented ideas which are still being debated today.The Enlightenment was an important movement during the 18th century in Europe, which influenced the Scientific Revolution. Two excellent French philosophers are Thomas Hobbes and John Locke their beliefs about human nature are debatable.
