The definition of change is to make or become different. I feel that Tom Sawyer and I have both encountered changes in the past year and book, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Tom Sawyer and I have both undergone physical and mental maturity. Tom Sawyer changed a lot throughout the book in many reasons. He started off as a Immature little boy picking fights with random people, and only caring about himself. He Then started maturing throughout the book, and growing up in the real world. When he saw the murder of Dr. Robinson he became more relevant in the world because he saw things that he’s never seen before. I feel that I have changed a lot throughout the year as well. At the beginning of the year I felt that I was a lot less aware about things like racism and how much that can affect someone. I thought that racism was a thing of the past and when we watched roots it seemed unrealistic in today's world. I changed emotionally because of all the pain, hard work, and perseverance throughout school and hockey. In hockey I became more tough and more relevant in how hard you need to work to play high level hockey. I recently started running hills at Northside Park at 6:30 AM with some high school hockey players and it was so tough to get up the hill six times in six minutes. After every training my legs felt like gelo. After the six reps, we do killers up the hill and that’s what makes some of us throw up. The training is so difficult for the thirty minutes it feels like your trying to climb Mount Everest. After your done and go home at seven AM, and when you get there and sit on the couch you feel like throwing up. After it’s all over you think to yourself if you want to go far in a sport this is what it’s going to take. I changed socially and emotionally throughout the 7th grade
