World War Two was an international conflict, during the years of 1939 to 1945. A war between the Axis Powers and the Allies, it was one of the most remarkable and unforgettable events in the 20th Century. During the war there are turning points that have influenced and changed the course of the war drastically (a turning point is a moment when the course of events change), such as Battle of Britain, Operation Barbarossa, Battle of Stalingrad and Operation Overlord. On 18 June 1940, Winston Churchill gave a speech saying “The Battle of France is over, the Battle of Britain is about to begin”.
