The fact that an Atomic Bomb could wipe out a whole population in a matter of seconds. America created the first nuclear weapon that helped with the war after the Japanese refused to surrender. The atomic bomb had influenced other countries into considering or even creating their own nuclear weapons for their country. The result of the atomic bomb being dropped was a main factor in the Cold Wars. The atomic bomb is the most important historical turning point in American history. Not only did it help win the war it made other countries fear us should they try to attack or invade America. Also how it led to other big parts of history like the Cold War and the Great Depression. The choice to drop the atomic bomb or attempt more land invasions was a major factor in the outcome of the war, with major influences and side effects on Japan.
