Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist and a political activist from the United Kingdom. He is well known in the whole world, and he is a big mystery. Nobody know his real identity, or if Banksy is a group. All we know is that he is coming from Bristol in England. One day Banksy decided to do something big and meaningful, so he traveled to Palestine, and drew paintings with strong meanings, and impact on people. He said the trip to Palestine was “the ultimate activity holiday destination for graffiti writers.” How does Banksy convey his political message, and which impact does it have on the people who are watching his art?
Banksy created nine paintings on Israel`s west bank barrier, one of these painting is the “Balloon Debate”, that was painted in August 2005. This location is important because it is painted on the 684 kilo meters long separation wall, that separates the people in Palestine from Israel. This location makes the message much stronger. “Balloon Debate” depicts a little girl that is flying with her balloons over the separation wall. A picture can say a thousand words, and Banksy took this into consideration. He painted the paintings on the Palestinian side to share his sight to the people living there. It gives them hope that the wall will one day come down and the segregation will be over, and that people actually cares about them, and the conflict. Banksy is a world-famous street artist, his artwork can be found on social media, where millions sees his creations. The paintings on the wall were exploded in social media and the internet. People from the rest of the world get to see Banksy`s opinions and think twice about it. They will see how the situation is in Palestine, and what the wall is doing to the people
