The War’s The World, The World’s The War When a fire burns that you cannot ignore, you often think to yourself; what can I do to extinguish this threat? During World War One an entire generation felt lost, young men returned home shell shocked. Friends of many were buried in the very trenches they fought in. These men were the reason we have what we so take for granted, Freedom. Just as the British soldiers shout, “Fight for King and Country!”, Americans think something entirely different. They are trained to be machines with no remorse, though the human mind is not so easily rewired; The blood of their brothers on their hands, as they carried them to protection. Great imagery here Tears shed over their fallen comrades, fueling the war machine to take revenge. During battle the gears of this machine constantly turn, as these strapping lads are reborn in war. I’m going to tell you a story, it’s about a young private fresh outta high school, drafted into the army. This young man's name was Sean Garrett, gunner in the forty third armored division. He was an accomplished soldier, had a bright future ahead of him. Private Garrett was killed when his tanks hull was breached by enemy artillery fire.
