Adrian is a good person. He spends the majority of his time studying at the library during the week and volunteers doing community service on Saturdays. On Sundays he spends his day with his family and helps out at his church. Adrian is a very focused and determined individual who knows what he wants in his life so keeping a high GPA in order to stay in his universities engineering college is very important to him. In spite of these qualities, Adrian can sometimes get sidetracked and likes to smoke marijuana. Adrian started experimenting with marijuana when he started college. Although smoking marijuana can make a person feel good for some time, knowing that your smoking habit is making you a stoner can actually bring you down and cause you to become depressed which can cause you to smoke more to relive your mind from this reality. Adrian may think that smoking is going to alleviate his stress, but smoking for this reason can actually cause his stress tolerance to decrease. This would then lead Adrian to smoke more frequently because he is constantly feeling stressed. Getting the munchies when you’re high can lead to a poor and unhealthy food diet. If you stop hanging out friends who are a bad influence you won’t be peer pressured to do drugs when you’re around them. These friends can also pressure you to do harder drugs which will only make it harder for you to stop doing drugs. The people you may consider your friends could just be dealers who want to make money off of you by selling you the drugs you’re consuming to support your drug habit. Another peer pressure you may have is seeing other people who consume marijuana, but are making good grades or better grades than you and seeing that smoking is their outlet so it can be yours too. This could be why you started smoking and believe if other people do it and are doing fine in school than so can you, but you may not be able to control its addictive properties and it could be diminishing your social life and
