Greek culture has an impact on our society is sports because we've been playing sports for a long time since the B.C. Ancient Greek sport was first started was three thousand ago and it began so people can have fun and know who has the best team in their country. Greek sports started so they can honor Zeus and prove their strength, their power so they can be the best in the city.

Sports is important to society because it help people to stay entertained and they can tell other people when they travel to other kingdoms. There are a lot of sports greek have like wrestling, horse race, chariot race, boxing, pankration, javelin, running, long jumps and others but there is a lot of sports they do. To play in the olympics you have to be free man who spoke greek and the olympics was held at Olympia because instead of moving around they go there to play. Running is the common sport that greeks watch but sometimes if the race wasn’t enough they put on armor on like the helmet, shield, and greaves that weight 50-60 pounds and this useful for military service.

Greek sport culture has an impact on modern society because we still play the Olympics in different places though. I chose this title because i think it was the biggest impact to modern society.
