419 Words2 Pages
Atticus Finch was a single father of two young children, a girl, Scout, and a boy, Jem. He was a very loving father. He made sure his children had every thing they needed and also made sure that they did the right things such as going to school and behaving well. A well-respected man, he was an attorney in Alabama in the 1930s. The most important thing about Atticus was he was an honest man with integrity. Being the kind of man he is, he treats his kids like adults and honestly answers any question they may have. Scout always has questions. Atticus does this to pass his values on to his children. Even though he treats them maturely he realizes that they are still young and that will make mistakes. He is stern, fair, and not prejudice.
