I have heard the name of Bambi and I have seen the character, but it was first time to watch whole Bambi. I couldn’t watch Bambi, but I watched Bambi 2. Disney usually target children. Bambi is a cute character, so I thought the movie would be childish and boring.

Intended effects were Education and Entertainment. The movie described the relationship between animals and human. In the movie, Bambi and his second mother were almost killed. This scene implies human is crucial and has strong power than animals. It also would imply protection of animals. Love was also educated. Bambi often missed his mother. His father always help him when he faced dangerous. I learned love is important. When I was watching movie, I was doing my homework. However, he became stronger and he wasn’t teased anymore and his father was proud of him in the final of movie. Happy ending made me feel good. According to the textbook, Aronson (2011) describes “Retention is greatest, and recency effects will therefore prevail, when the audience must make up its mind immediately after hearing the second communication” (P96). People usually watch one movie in a day. Movies take long time to watch all, so most of them bring climax at final. Even if the first scene is impressing, people care about what happens next and finally they often forget the first scene. For these reasons, I would feel good after watching the movie, because the final happy ending was impressing me.

As I mentioned, targets will be young children who are under elementary school students. Bambi is cute boy, so girl will be aimed. He is a prince in the movie. His father is strict and strong, but he is weak. His father seems to dislike Bambi. These scenes show prince should act like masculine, strong, and brave.
