The most influence literatry technique Borowski used in The Death of Schillenegr was his use of story within a story. The premise of this short story Is the telling of a story that goes around concentrartion camps. By doing this, we get two perspectives, the person telling the story and the person in the story and this affect highlights all of the other literary terms he uses in his story. Using story within a story would appeal to the author because it shows how storys like this spread and gives a sense of realness to the story when the audience views it as a fable being told by the prisoners.
Along with using story within a story, Borowski uses factual writing. One example of when Borowski ses factual writing is ” Anybody knows that until the people are safely inside, with the doors bolted, you mustn’t, gape at their junk, or rummage through it or much less paw the nude women’. Using factual writing here as well as the entire story is important because since the topic is unsettling it is best to convey his meaning in a straight manner. By giving the story in a factual manner, it provides the readers with a better understanding of what really happened without any skewed perspective and it gives a sense of realness about what went on in these concentration camps
