4.1 Rene Barrientos was born in 1919 in a village named Tunary in Bolivia. He became lieutenant in the army in the year 1952 (EWB, 2010). In January 1966, he won the election and became the president of Bolivia. During his presidential years, Berrientos was supported by the middle-calss and by the peasants. He made reforms that impact economic growth. However, his politics to maintain the order in the country were criticized by many: “He made considerable progress in these areas [foreign investment and changes in the economic] , but his heavy-handed tactics (political arrests, exilings, martial law) alienated many” (EWB, 2010). He flew to Bolivia and attempted to change everything once again, however; the situation in Bolivia was a similar to Congo. Indeed, Guevara wasn’t well welcome by the local population of Bolivia. They depicted him as a revolutionary man who was spreading propaganda of communist ideologies (Richards, N.d). Therefore, Che didn’t obtained many support from the local population. One of the factors that didn’t help Guevara during his attempt to create a revolution in Bolivia was the fact that many of the youngsters who believed (a little bit) in his revolutionary ideas didn’t understand Spanish properly (N.n, N.d). Hence, the language was a barrier when spreading his ideas to the Bolivians. Additionally, Guevara’s attempt to arise a revolution in Bolivia didn’t succeed because the communist party wasn’t on his side. Starting from March 1967, Guevara and his troops were hunted by the Bolivian government (Richards, N.d). The revolutionary man was not able to defend his troops and himself due to the small numbers of his men and also due to his health problem (Richards, N.d). Numerous members of Guevara’s troop were held prisoners or killed during the hunting. The pursuit came to an end on October 1967. The Bolivian army captured Guevara and his sixteen men. The president of Bolivia ordered to kill Guevara the following days (Richards, N.d). Che Guevara was executed on October 9th 1967 at the age of thirty nine years old (idem). His body was buried in a secret location for more than two decades; indeed, it is only near the year 1990 that the remains of his body among with the one’s of some of his men were found in Southern Bolivia (Richards,
