Have you ever experienced disappointment or joy following a meal? Cowboys are usually known for leading difficult lives, but they also experience these feelings after a meal, which lowers their morale and affects how they feel while working. The texts "The Cowboy's Home on Wheels" and "The U-S-U Range" demonstrate how food quality affects the cowboys' morale.

Firstly, a diet of unsatisfying meals can discourage a cowboy's work performance. The food they eat might not be enough for them to do their job. In "The Cowboy's Home on Wheels" it states, "Usually, the cowboy's food was boring and unappetizing." This shows what the food the cowboys usually eat and what it's like. Cowboys go through hard physical labor, so their bland and unappetizing food could impact their mood and general well-being.
