Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, returned home after college to find his father dead and mother married to his uncle Claudius, who is now king. He sees the ghost of his father, King Hamlet, who tells him to get revenge on Claudius for murdering him. Hamlet attempts to trick Claudius into confessing through a play but it doesn't work and Hamlet passes up the chance to kill Claudius. Later, Hamlet and his mother are fighting when Hamlet accidentally kills his lover's father, Polonius. Upon Hamlet's return, Laertes and Claudius devise a plan to murder Hamlet with poison and Laertes challenges Hamlet to a duel. Hamlet's mother accidentally drinks the poison, Hamlet is cut with a poisoned sword and Laertes falls to his death.
