How Does Lady Macbeth Change Throughout The Play

In this play lady Macbeth plays a very important part of the Macbeth story. Without Lady Macbeth, Macbeth would have lived and prospered, being a prime example on how women influence men. Lady Macbeth is often seen as a cruel, manipulative and ruthless woman; by using Macbeth‘s love for her own ambitions, she can more easily persuade him into killing King Duncan, due to Macbeth’s blind love and trust in her. At the beginning of the play Macbeth is a trusted person, who is very honest. But after he meets the three witches who tell him he will become king and that Banquo’s sons will follow, he changes his opinions on life and turns into a greedy, dishonest person. This demonstrates that she is actually worried about the plan and is scared that Macbeth won’t do the task accordingly. After Macbeth returns he forgets to place the daggers, so she is little bit angry but was more worried about being discovered to she went back to leave the daggers by the guards. She is so guilty that she says ‘a little water clears us of this deed: how easy is it then!’ this demonstrates that she thinks the blood will wash straight off her hands, which is true, but she didn’t think of the psychological effect that will come after in the play.
