Methamphetamine is a drug that is dangerous and highly addictive. In Australia, Meth is growing significantly which is creating more problems financially,socially and mentally. Stats are showing increased figures in accidental deaths due to methamphetamine. An increase in crime and domestic violence has also been detected among ice users. The affect of Methamphetamine on the brain is extremely dangerous and can effect the well-being on a person catastrophically. These points listed above are damaging our community and is reflecting badly on the way that other countries look at Australia Accidental drug deaths in Australia involving methamphetamine have increased significantly over the last 5 years. This is resulting in a dramatic increase of the concern level in which we place this drug and consider whether it’s use is really worth the risk involved. Since 2010, 88 deaths occurred involving ice and jumped compellingly to 101 in 2011. According to that same study, approximately 170 deaths occurred in 2013 alone due to the use of methamphetamine.
