A recent high school graduate is running through a checklist, but checking social media may need to be on the checklist before applying for college.( “Cartwright”). It is time to apply for college as students are running through their application they may have to check all of their social media. Also Social networking can improve the admissions process.College administers should view social media profiles because colleges can find information about students, eighty-eight percent of college admissions believed social media was important in recruiting students, and Social media can raise concerns about students.

Indeed more than 500 colleges use social media sites for looking up information about students. College administers are mostly looking for content that can be objectionable like racist comments. Anything that can be red flag is dangerous for the student applying for college.“As a general rule, before posting something on a social networking profile, imagine it displayed on a billboard on the side of a highway.
