Technology is a set of techniques which make a task perform quickly and efficiently. The use of technology came into existence when people started to convert natural resources into ordinary tools. In ancient times, people used to walk for hours to reach their desired destination. When wheels were invented, it made travel easier. Technology started to show its benefits gradually by different means but the rapid advancements in technology started by the end of 17th century. In today 's world, technology dominates every second of our lives. There are great technological achievements which causes no harm to anyone but help us in our daily lives. Although some people argue that technology has made our lives complicated, it has caused air pollution, it has made some people addicted to games, I think there are many examples in our daily lives where the use of technology has simplified our lives.

For example, factories provide us with stuff we need on daily basis from household items to medicines and many more. There are thousands of factories around the world which uses renewable energy, such as solar power, wind power or hydro electric power, which produce less pollution compared to traditional technologies of the 20th century. The new hybrid vehicles which produces less Co2 compared to cars produced 10 years ago is another example of how we can rely on technology while minimizing its harm to our environment. In many developed nations, institutions are in place which monitors Co2 emission. In the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency makes sure that factories install machines which limit their carbon print, cars are required to follow their policy on carbon emission, while this agency has done its job quite efficiently, some industries may not be in full agreement with them.
