Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA) protects the rights in the UK, firstly by making sure the rights are done fairly. It’s about the value of each human being, just by virtue of them being human being, and that the Government or the state makes sure that “each individual dignity is respect in their laws and practices. ” Secondly, to secure peace and security throughout the world and thirdly, “to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small ”.
