Power is having control over something or someone's life, if you had power would you use it in a good or bad way? In the story “To Kill a Mockingbird” Mayella a white girl and a black man named Tom Robinson went to trial because Mayella said he raped her. After the trial was done Tom was sentenced to jail and found guilty because of Mayella’s power she had. What made this worse was that Tom was black so it would have been arduous for him to win the case. Although she was powerful when it came to class and gender her race made her most powerful.
The Willie seen in the first chapters cares about the little people of the state. He is disgusted by the corruption of a schoolhouse deal that resulted in children falling from a poorly constructed fire escape. Even when it is up to Willie to sign a deal for the building of his dream hospital, he refuses to strike a deal that will benefit him in a financial way. He would rather leave a legacy with a hospital run by the best doctor in the state, Adam Stanton. Willie rises in the political standings by promising better education and tax reform in his state.
Most Courageous Character To Kill A Mockingbird is a book written by Harper Lee that shows numerous situations involving symbolism and courage. Atticus Finch is a character who kept his own beliefs throughout any event that occurred. Standing up for Tom Robinson and others while raising his children, Atticus shows the most courage by following his moral beliefs and not caring about what others think of him. A rabid dog conveying the symbolic meaning of prejudice and racism appears in Maycomb.

Lennie is oppressed for having a mental disability. Many people take advantage of him for his lack of intelligence, including George. When George explains to Slim how he knows Lennie, he mentions how he used to play jokes on Lennie for being so slow. He says, “‘Used to play jokes on ‘im ‘cause he was too dumb to take care of ‘imself. But he was too dumb to even know he had a joke played on him.
Lennie is constantly excluded and made fun of because of his disability. People with disabilities are often bullied or taken advantage of. Because of their handicap, they may not be able to understand why they are ostracized or laughed
In this relationship, Willie’s mum encouraged Willie to be a priest. Although Willie did not want to be a priest he also wanted to impress his mum and not let her down. Willie did this because he is kind, and this is a quality that their relationship brought to Willie’s identity. Willie’s mum shipped him off to a boarding school for priests and while Willie was there he got really homesick which means he loves home more than anywhere else. Some evidence that Willie loved home was that in the Van he was singing about home which is Broome.
Both presenting themselves as an intelligent individual in the art of schooling, meanwhile they show naiveness of a child in observations of human behavior. Scout, in To Kill A Mockingbird, became well aware of cruel insults from her community about their dislike of her father’s actions. Her and her brother became accustomed and grudgingly tolerable to such insults and began to realize that the white folks could not accept the Negroes into everyday life. Maya, in I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, grew up in a black community, thus not being surrounded by racism all the time. On the other hand, her brother experienced how cold-blooded the white community is toward the black.
Think about it, what if you were that baby in the mother’s womb and had no voice to stand up for your own life? You were given a life, why shouldn’t they? Abortion is defined as “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy.” Abortion is not illegal in the United States of America and I strongly believe it should be for three specific reasons. Abortion is very unsafe to the women aborting the child, abortion offends God and murder is illegal.
In order to show this, I will analyse two fostering aspects which play a big part in his development and setbacks, these include punishment as well as encouragement. We get to know characters through scenes and descriptions, as well as speech and actions. We get to follow Willies mental state as well as his physical development through these aspects. [Act 2] Willy believed that success, was equivalent to how well liked he was. Willy's 'flaw' was his foolish pride, his persistence of achieving "his rightful status".
