During 1924 to 1929 the popularity of the Nazi party had significantly decreased predominantly due to the recovery of the German economy under Stresemann. Adolf Hitler planned his future achievements by following his previous failed attempts in to power such as the Munich Putsch. He had decided that he would abandon violence and use democracy and elections to achieve his dream. He understood that to present himself to the people of Weimar Germany, he had to be recognised as being a legitimate party leader and not one linked with wrong-doing and violence. Hitler's approach was to highlight the failings of the other political parties in Weimar Germany. Throughout the 1920's the Nazi party had effective propaganda, excellent organisation and rallies which had amplified the popularity of the party all over Germany. In the three elections held between 1924 and 1928, the Nazis obtained fewer seats than the Communist Party. This was mainly due to the decrease of votes to the extremist parties as the German economy was gradually healing. Weimar Germany during 1924 to 1929 was going through a renaissance. The government of Stresemann improved the economy after Germany suffered from hyperinflation.
However, the Wall Street Crash of October 1929 was fundamental to the Nazis. The Americans wanted back all the money they had loaned to Germany in 1924 and 1929.
