This paved the way for Adolf Hitler to become the individual to lead the Germans out of this state of depression and havoc. Many things were taken from the Germans due to WW1 and this enraged them. Throughout Article 231 of the treaty of Versailles, this established that Germany was the one accountable for all the war damages and was incorporated to get the French and Belgians to be united and reduce the amount of money Germany had to pay after the war (Facing History, paragraph 2). This clause notably obligated the Germans to reference that they took full blame for WW1 and disturbed the harmony of world peace. Allied powers. Later, this resentment is what rose the Nazi party and called for Adolf Hitler to seize power.
Moreover, considering the treaty of Versailles and Article 231, Germany had to compensate for the damages done by all the countries and pay for war reparations. Germany was required to pay $33 billion (US) to cover all the civilian damages produced throughout WW1. As the treaty of Versailles was signed a territorial loss of land and population were taken away and given to other countries. The unfair treaty that Germany was enlisted in was the start of the Nazi party. Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party were seen during this time as a savior to Germany in the regards that he stopped all kinds of war reparations and knew who to blame for starting the war reparations in the first place.
