Bob Marley once said “when one door is closed, you don’t know that many more are open” meaning never give up until you meet your satisfaction, and try your hardest even if you do not succeed. You still tried and that is what matters the most. In my eyes, Bob Marley was a very significant hero. He was not just a singer song writer, but a singer song writer who wrote music to express the struggle of economic and political oppression in Jamaica the 1970’s. In 1976, Marley wrote a song about two feuding political parties, “Jamaica Labour Party” and “People’s National Party”, then in concert he performed the song called, “Jammin’” then brought the leaders of each group on stage to shake hands and come to peace. Besides music, he was a social activist.
