“His” and “her” media refers to the multitude of media outlets catering different magazines, television programs, etc. to men and women. This disparity is particularly evident in adult television programming, which has underwent several transformations since its inception. For instance, the men would watch Spike TV whereas the women would watch the W Network. However, the division between his and hers is now slowly being merged together. Television programming used to divide its audience into its targeted demographic niches so that advertisers would reach the consumers their products were designed for.
Romeo’s Long Way Down Coming of age is a huge thing when it comes to kids going through life. Coming of age is the idea of kids growing up to become adults and what happens/what they do along the way. Two coming of age groups that Will (A Long Way Down) and Romeo (Romeo and Juliet) go through are experiencing loss and perception of parents. Juliet experiences loss when Romeo killed himself because he thought that she was dead, Will experienced a change in the perception of his parents because he finally saw his dad after so many years. Many celebrities were involved in the movement, such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Previous to the sexual revolution, sexual things were kept quiet. Nobody talked of anything sexual and the media, such as radio and television, also kept very quiet about anything sexual.

However, attaining the perfect image is nearly impossible for most women in North America.
