How the Periodic Table can change in the next 50 years
Have you ever wondered how many times the Periodic Table has been modified to become what it is now? The Periodic Table has changed in so many ways, and is most likely going to change even more in the future. I am going to explain a few of the ways that the Periodic Table can alter in the next fifty years.
One way the Periodic Table could be altered is that new elements could be discovered. Certainly, scientists are still searching for more and more elements to uncover, study, and add to the Periodic Table. It’s most likely that in fifty years the Periodic Table will be filled with new elements and maybe even new classifications. According to several different websites, in January of this year, four new elements were added to the Periodic Table. The search for new elements has begun, and if four new elements were added just this year, who knows how many more will be added in the next fifty years? For example, one way to classify the elements is by whether they are a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid. These classifications may not be completely terminated, but as time goes by, people may prefer to identify the elements by the new classifications. There are plenty of other ways to classify the elements at the moment, but scientists are working very hard to improve anything they can. In fifty years, it’s most likely that we will have a more recommended way to classify the elements.
