Abigail Williams, the most despicable character in the whole play. All of her lies have given her the right to be called the most hated character. She caused the death of many people all because of her necessities. From the beginning of the play to the end she was a major problem although a marvelous antagonist. Abigail started out the play the wrong way. She was caught dancing in the woods with some other girls. She drank chicken blood and wished for Elizabeth to die. When asked what was going on in the woods she lied and said they were just dancing and no one was naked. From the beginning the lies just continued on. She accused Tituba and watched her get whipped and did not speak up. Abigail started to accuse people and in all reality she just wanted John proctor to herself. She did anything to make her devious plan come to life. She also tells the other girls that they will never speak the truth, or she will come into their houses and kill them. She lures the girls in to act the problematic way she’s been acting. Abigail was basically acting like Satan herself because of all her lies and false accusations. She’s a very self centered woman who only thought of herself. Abigail lies to everyone and denies every time when asked if lying. The truth should have come out, but her dream of wanting John Proctor blinded her from the outrage of the town. Abigail told the judge many false accusations. She is a witch of a person for putting people into jail just because of her actions. Evil shines through Abigail in the play very often. When she is acting in front of the judge trying to convince him that Mary Warren is a witch; Satan is basically coming through her. She was trying to convince the judge that other people are working with the devil. One person caused chaos in Salem and that person is Abigail
