In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, bluejays, mockingbirds, and finches are all mentioned. As Atticus says, each bird has its own unique purpose or song, just like people do. As the title suggests, mockingbirds are innocent creatures and it is a sin to kill them for a personal gain. People can be compared to mockingbird because people can be killed spiritually, physically or emotionally. Three people from the book that come to my mind as mockingbirds that sing their own unique song are Atticus Finch, Boo Radley, and Scout Finch.
Atticus Finch was well known around the town and was respected by most of the people in Maycomb County. He was a lawyer and as a result of that sometimes lawyers get bad cases that would be extremely hard to win. Atticus …show more content…

To make matters worse the person that Atticus was defending is black and in the society during that time it is not very likely that a black person would ever win a case. If Atticus were to sing a song it would be
“Hero” by Mariah Carey. As the lyrics state “And then a hero comes along /With the strength to carry on/And you cast your fears aside/And you know you can survive”. Just as the lyrics explain, Atticus was the hero that came along and had the strength to do the case even though there was a very slim chance that they would win. Anyone else would have probably stepped

And Boo Radley felt that he didn’t fit in or wasn’t like the rest of the people in Maycomb county. Throughout almost the whole book he is misunderstood and judged, but when Scout met him, he was nothing like a scary monster he was. He was just like any other person in Maycomb County.
As for Scout, she is really close to her dad, Atticus, and she was kind of a tomboy. She always wore overalls, was always around Jem doing whatever he was doing, and she didn’t do the things that girls typically did during that time period. And she always was hanging around
Atticus and always asking him so many questions and he never got bothered. If Scout were to sing a song, it would be “ Butterfly Fly Away” by Miley Cyrus. As the lyrics explain, her dad was always there when she needed him or when she had a question, and she learned a lot from him. In the end, we can conclude that each mockingbird sings their own, special, unique song.
It would be a sin to kill any of these mockingbirds because they do no harm to us so why get rid of them. It helps us all understand each other a little bit better and you never know, maybe you
Layton 3 can learn something. It is important that we don’t judge one another because we are all
